In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Reem Khan. Reem is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the recruitment industry (17 years). She completed her B.Comm in HR Management at Concordia University (Montreal) and she is currently running a majority female-owned and visible minority owned recruitment business, Accuracity. In 2020, she co-founded a sustainably-minded Home Decor brand, Terrae Home, that designs and crafts wooden products in Ontario and promotes products from local businesses. She concurrently holds the role of Marketing Manager at Railing Excellence Inc, a railing manufacturer based in Vaughan, Ontario. In this episode we discuss HR, recruitment, women run businesses, fundraising, awareness, community, philanthropic work, serial entrepreneurship and being a role model.

Meet Danika Scott, a young artist whose passion and love for her art is evident through her diverse range of styles and quality of work. In fact, for those of us who are catching on to her work, what is most evident is her attention to detail and her innate sense of colour. This is probably best depicted in her works of realism, be it landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, or even what might be considered abstract images she sees in her mind (one might think contrary to realism), all have a true-to-life quality that reflects something familiar to us. Her work is rooted in yogic philosophy modernized for today's times by more current coaching approaches all with the intention of helping others connect to themselves so they may live lives that feel authentic, meaningful and free. In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Micayla Doria. Micayla Doria is an accomplished Toronto based artist, graphic designer, event planner, photographer, and CEO. Graduated from OCAD University in 2010 with a BA in Fine Arts, Micayla worked as an interdisciplinary artist exploring and experimenting with mediums, techniques and processes within the field of drawing and painting, integrated media, as well as performance art. She learned to perceive, read and translate the visual world into personal forms of pictorial expression and representation by acquiring knowledge of theory, history and criticism. She was represented by Norman Felix Gallery in Toronto, and worked as an independent artist for commercial and residential clients across the GTA, painting murals, curating gallery shows, and organizing events in support of local charities. Her commissioned work is found across the GTA from galleries, to restaurants, to the walls of her clients. In this episode we discuss art, Celebrate Toronto, event planning, community, volunteer work, Futurebuild, growth and fear.

In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Daniela Lombardi.Born and raised both Toronto and Rome (duel citizen) as my dad always loved bringing us back home (his home) She grew up in Richmond Hill before I got married at the tender age of 21. Growing up on the heavier size did build “character”. As in my day we didn’t have the body positive movement. Nor the Ashely Graham’s. I was teased relentlessly in school. (Mind you still face body bullying till this day, just cope with it differently than a ten year old me would have). Clothing was so hard to find so I would venture off to Panarama (for those who know, know) and try to find the best fitted men’s jeans or tops and try to alter them to be more feminine. Where I have to actually be thankful for as I think that’s where I got my fashion sense. In this episode we discuss being a curve model, modelling, self-love, body positivity, motherhood, bullying, a-ha moments, personal struggle and inner beauty.
